Our Services
Our contracts include the services below
1
Spring Cleanup
Typically performed between early March and May Spring, a Spring Cleanup gets your landscape ready for the year ahead. All debris, weeds and excess old mulch are removed. Plants that require spring pruning are pruned and perrennials cut back. Beds are redefined and bed edges refreshed to crisp lines. Plants are fertilized and fresh mulch of your choosing is laid. Pre-emergent herbicide is then spread over the mulch to help reduce the amount of weeds that come up throughout the year. The beds are then back-raked to smooth out any imperfections, leaving a refreshed and revitalized landscape for your enjoyment.
2
Lawn Mowing and Trimming
Currently available only in South Charlotte, our mowing service is above and beyond a typical lawn mowing company. We follow mowing best practices for your specific type of grass. We vary grass heights throughout the year depending on conditions. Our blades are regularly sharpened and crews trained in disease scouting and reporting. Most importantly our crews do not mow regardless of conditions. They are trained to make sure if lawns are saturated or droughty, they are not mowed, as it will cause long lasting harm to the grass, and the route promptly sheduled for when conditions improve. We typically remove clippings to leave a superior finish and protect cars and windows from debris. All trash, branched and leaves are picked up from lawn areas each week to leave you with a pristine yard throughout the mowing season.
3
Lawn Fertilization, Weed and Pest Control
Our licensed applicators will provide a comprehensive lawn care program tailored to our clients lawn. Full service programs will include 8 applications. The applications include at proper times and rates- lime, fertilizer, soil enhancers, insect control, fungicides, iron, slow release fertilizers and selective herbicides. Recommended for any lawn we service, this program has been developed with our lawn product supplier for superior results.
4
Detail Visits
Scheduled throughout the year, detail visits keep your landscsape in pristine condition. Our Certified Plant Professional Certification lets you know your landscape will be in the best care possible during these visits. Visits include removing all weeds, pruning plants that require pruning at the time of the visit, and removing any leaves and debris. The number of visits can vary, with some clients opting for weekly detail in combination with mowing to keep their landscape absolutely perfect at all times, and other DIYers and gardeners choosing fewer visits only when things get out of their control.
5
Aeration and Seeding
For our cool season lawns only, this fall service is crucial to your lawn's success in the future. We core aerate in a cross hatch pattern to provide optimal coverage as we alleviate compaction and improve infiltration of water and nutrients. We then spread a blend of tall fescue seed, all of which are on NC State's recommended cultivar list. We also have our lawn fertilization, weed and pest control team coordinate a fertlization visit in conjunction with aeration and seeding timing for maximum efficacy.
6
Leaf Removal
As those beautiful fall colors fade and leaves begin to drift down, we begin cleaning up nature's mess. Leaf Removal is another service that is highly varied based on client preference. Some clients have us come when all the leaves have fallen for a one-time cleanup, while others prefer to have leaves cleared weekly.
7
Fall Cleanup
Similar to a spring cleanup, but this service gives your landscape a final preparation for winter. A final cleanup and pruning on plants that require pruning before they go dormant. We do perennial cutbacks only on those that do not provide winter interest, and if requested - a new layer of mulch for a fresh look that lasts until spring.
8
Winter Pruning
A visit specifically for plants that benefit from being pruned while dormant. This service is a great way to breathe new life into old plants and overgrown landscapes. Rejuvination pruning on overgrown plants is most successful when performed in dormancy. Stress to larger plants minimized during dormancy. Disease tranfer is minimized while temperatures are low and insects and diseases are least active. Some plants will not be pruned at this time because they bloom on old wood (flower buds are already set before going into winter), so pruning would hinder flowering the next season.
